Graphic Design Projects at M Booth

Background:

M Booth is a PR agency specializing in content creation and marketing. Working as a freelance graphic designer at M Booth allowed me to participate various types of projects and clientele.

Result:

The project type ranged from presentation design, infographic, fashion look-book, micro-website design, to company brochures. In some cases I was given more creativity freedom, in other cases there were strict brand guidelines that I needed to adhere to.
One of the projects I worked on was the self-promotional brochures for each of the disciplines the company specialized in. My favorite ones were the Travel Practice and Beauty & Personal Care Practice brochures.
I also created an infographic for a survey M Booth did in regard to imagery and social media. This detailed infographic was sent out online as well as printed as promotional collateral. Another poster design I did was for American Express. This was a Business-to-Business Call for Entry poster, designing this poster entailed creating customized icons and coordinate long instructional text.

Proposal Design

Background:

While working as a graphic designer at Ronnette Riley Architect, my main responsibility was designing and preparing proposals. Generally speaking most proposal follows a similar format, but also very often needs to address specific qualification in addition to the standard information. Creating a proposal can be tedious at time because it often required compiling documents from several partner consultant firms while maintain cohesiveness and complied to the required format.

Solution:

In order to quickly and accurately produce proposals containing targeted content with relevant projects, I cataloged the project library systematically and designed a way for the architects to easily select which projects best represent the firm’s capability for a specific job type. This cataloging system utilizes Adobe Indesign’s comprehensive ability to create documents and books.

Result:

The benefit of streamlined the process of content creation allowed for more time to be spent on creative approach on the aesthetic aspect of the proposal and its cover design. Although the proposal content plays the major role on presenting the firm’s ability, the cover of the proposal give the first impression and is an additional way to showcase the versatility and personality of the firm.

Puppy Coach 101

Background:

We all love puppies! But puppies all need to be trained. Owning an untrained dog is no-fun for both the owners and family members. Most of the time a family with young children welcomes a puppy into their lives, not knowing the effort it requires to train a puppy. Therefore in collaboration with PixelDream, we sat-out to create an iOS app hoping to help families with young children learn and enjoy the process of training a puppy.

Solution:

I designed the UX/UI of ‘Puppy Coach 101’- an iOS app for new puppy owners. The app contains a series of dog training course with video demonstrations, outlines, and checklists.

Result:

The characteristic of this app was its kid-friendly interface design which invites the whole family to be involved in the puppy training journey. All of the dog training courses were broken down into short segmented video clips, therefore it’s easy for children to follow along. At the end of the training the user can create a certificate for their well-trained puppy!
